A copper mine “Batu Tua Tembaga Raya“ on Wetar Island – East Indonesia to yield LME Grade A copper cathode, a marketable copper product known for its high purity. Gajafiberglass (supported by AOC Resin) supplied the FRP Products to  the mine’s tanks, roofing and lining from the harsh sulfuric acid that is used during the smelting of ore.

During the smelting process, Electro Winning Cell Tank, made by FRP are filled with highly corrosive H2SO4 70% and others supporting process also use FRP as the non corrosive materials.

The production took approximately six months with some parts being produced at off-site and transferred to Wetar Island, and some being fabricated on site. The over size buffer tank Dia. 12.000mm x H 3000 mm is fabricated at site. H2SO4 storage tank Dia. 5000mm x  H 5000mm – 3 units, produced at Jakarta’s factory and transferred to site.  Gajafiberglass responsible to  refurbish 77 pcs electrowinning cell tank each size 3524 x 1200 x 1501 mm. Also, responsible to produce settler basin each size 18.5M (L) x 13.5M (W) x 1M (H) – 5 units

The scope of supply Gaja Fiberglass are including design & engineering, shop drawing, fabrication and installation at site.
